Acids and Bases Info:

Students will perform lab activities which give them an understanding of the use of indicators in identifying the acids, bases, and neutral substances included in the kit. They can also test other items brought from home. Students can also examine the pH of these substances and learn how pH can be used to determine the strength of acids and bases. Assessment materials, student sheets, and special needs materials included. Kit contains: depression plates, medicine droppers, litmus red, litmus blue, methyl orange, phenol red, hydrochloric acid, ammonia solution, dish detergent, isopropanol alcohol, acetic acid, bromthymol blue, baking soda solution, phenolphthalein, sodium hydroxide, universal indicator solution, and color charts. Grades 7-12.
